Shirley Marie Barrett, 73, of Grove Hill died April 26, 2011 at her residence.
She was born Sept. 12, 1938. She was a member of Tompkins Baptist Church in Grove Hill. She was a volunteer with the Relay for Life in Grove Hill. She was a pattern maker at A.C. Fabrications.
Survivors include one daughter, Molly (Jackie) Collins, Grove Hill; one brother, L.H. "Bud" McCollum, California; one step-brother, T.E. Barnes, Russellville; two sisters, Betty (Johnny) Goodwin, Chattanooga, Tenn., Voncille Borders, Tacoma, Wash.; five grandchildren, Davette Collins, David Collins, La-Donnica Jowers, Jake Turner and Tyler Sellers; three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, David Barrett and a daughter, Cheryl Turner.
Visitation will be Thursday, April 28 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home Chapel in Grove Hill. The service will be Friday, April 29 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Johnny Kendrick officiating. Burial will be in the Magnolia Lawn Cemetery.
