Mabel M. Bumpers, 96, of Jackson died April 22, 2011.

She was born Sept. 28, 1914. She was a native of Coffeeville. She was a member of Coffeeville Baptist Church. She was a member of the Eastern Star and was senior volunteer at the Coffeeville Nutrition Center. She was the owner of the Coffeeville Dry Cleaners.

Survivors include one son, Robert E. Bumpers, Mobile; one daughter, Betty J. Allison, Jackson; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

The service was April 26 at 10:30 a.m. in Lathan Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson with Rev. Roscoe Wentworth officiating. Burial was in the Coffeeville Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Tommy Bumpers, Perry Bumpers, Barry Chancey, Heath Tucker, Tommy Herron and John Myrick.

Honorary pallbearers were Jeremy Bumpers, Nathan Herron, Ty Tucker, Alex Bumpers.
