Cards of Thanks

There are not words to adequately express our gratitude for the many kindnesses shown to us during the last six months and especially the last few weeks of Eddie’s life and since his death. The generosity and thoughtfulness of people in and around Grove Hill is overwhelming!

We thank you for cards, calls, prayers, caring words, food, flowers, plants, gifts, and visits. We especially thank the families, staff, and board of Clarke Prep School for the many things done for us during this school year.

Thank you to our church, The Cornerstone Baptist, for standing by us, showing us that you are truly our brothers and sisters in Christ. Thank you to many other churches and their members who were so kind to us in so many ways.

Thank you to the Alabama State Troopers and other law enforcement organizations, including Grove Hill and Jackson fire departments, that helped to make the funeral so special and who recognized Eddie in such an honorable manner. Thank you to Sheriff Ray Norris and to the Mobile and Evergreen trooper posts for your many kindnesses.

We especially thank the employees of Southern Care Hospice for their kindness to all of us during this traumatic experience. Thank you to our extended family and closest friends who were with us and who helped us to bear the burden to the end. We are so appreciative for each one of you who have befriended us during this time.

May God bless each one of you and help us to pass on the love that has been shown to us.

I wish to thank everyone for your acts of kindness but mostly for your prayers since April when I had multiple strokes. I have been diagnosed with a blood disorder. Through the efforts of my competent doctors and speech and physical therapy, I look forward to a complete recovery. I would appreciate your continued support through the power of prayer as I know miracles Do happen!
