She was born in Leroy July 6, 1949. She was a member of the St. Union Missionary Baptist Church where she served in many capacities.
Survivors include her devoted husband of 41 years, Charles Edward Robinson; loving and devoted mother, Nellrie Davis; three loving children, Rodney ( Tonya) Robinson, Sonta Robinson, Sylvia Robinson, all of Leroy; three brothers, James Davis, Hattiesburg, Miss., Charles (Bettye) Davis, Saraland, Ed (Rebecca) Davis, Leroy; five sisters, Willie C. Davis, Mary Johnson, both of Leroy, Dora Jackson, Martha Jackson, both of Houston, Texas, Edna (Arthur) Crawford, Detroit, Mich.; a brother-in-law, Johnny Robinson; a sisterin law, Janie Davis, both of Leroy; four granddaughters, D’Sheena Robinson, Nickisha Robinson, Tierra Robinson, Iyanla Todd; nine godchildren, Steve Brown Jr., Ledreg Campbell, Stanton Davis, Dominique Parker, Michael Jackson Jr., Siera Sims, Tamia White, Diamond McKay and Heather Jackson; special friends, Edna Whittle, Irene Stokes, Tania Taylor and Jackie Richardson; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Preceding her in death were her father, James Enoch Davis and a godchild, Edn’Drika Henderson.
The service will be Saturday, May 21 at 2 p.m., at St. Union Baptist Church, 1524 Pruitt Road in Leroy with Rev. Richard Chaney, pastor, as officiating minister. Viewing will be from 1 p.m. until the funeral hour. Burial will be in the St. Union Baptist Church Cemetery.
