Marie Ann Taylor Greene, 60, of Millry died May 18, 2011 at her residence.
She was born Feb. 3, 1951 to the late Ruth and Julius Taylor. She was one of six children. She attended Koenton School and graduated from North Central High School. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree at Alabama State University, concentrating in library media services. Following graduation, Ms. Greene was employed as a library media specialist at Washington County High School, retiring from the Washington County School System on March 30, 2011. She was a faithful Christian, she was an active member of Knights Chapel Baptist Church in Millry, serving in the church finance office for 22 years, preparing the weekly bulletin, funeral programs and other special programs.
Survivors include two daughters, Sonya O. Taylor, Montgomery, Anjanette L. Taylor, Millry; siblings, Chester (Maudie) Taylor, Detroit, Mich., Julius Taylor Jr.,  Columbus, Ga., Clydine (Richmond) Chaney, Millry, Bettye Johnson, Montgomery.
Preceding her in death were her parents; sister, Ethel; and grandmothers, Lillie and Etta.
The service was Tuesday, May 24 at Knights Chapel Baptist Church with Pastor Walter Bruce Johnson officiating and Rev. Richmond A. Chaney presiding. Burial was in the Providence Cemetery in Millry.
