Card of Thanks
Martha Ann Bradford-Griffin, age 77, of North Ft. Myers Florida, passed away on May 10th, 2011. The children of Martha Ann would like to express their heartfelt appreciation to the friends and relatives in her home town of Grove Hill, Alabama and in her birthplace of Dickinson, Alabama, who helped to make her final journey home such a peaceful and comforting time for us. Per Martha Ann’s wishes, her children held a memorial service in Dickinson on May 28th, where her favorite Bible verses and songs were shared by her daughter, Judy Shamburger. Her ashes were scattered surrounding the resting place of her loving parents, Hubbard B. (Big Daddy) and Edna Mae Bradford. The kind words and loving memories expressed by her family and friends, especially our Aunt Mildred Ratcliffe and our Great Aunt Tommie Dee Kennedy, meant so much to our family. We especially thank our Great Aunt Tommie Dee for singing the wonderful song, “Let Me Call You Sweetheart” in special remembrance of our mother.
We would like to especially thank our cousin, Phyllis Barnes and her husband Jimmy, for opening their home with such comforting warmth, fellowship, and wonderful food. To all of our family and friends who helped in the preparations, please know that it meant the world to us and you all give true meaning to the word family.
