Jack Todd Willoughby, 88, of Grove Hill died June 13, 2011 at a Mobile hospital.
He was born Nov. 2, 1922. He was a native of Marengo County. He attended Antioch Baptist Church. He was a World War II Veteran having served in the United States Army. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart and American Defense Service Medal. He was a right of way foreman with Clarke-Washington Electric Membership Corporation.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Beck Willoughby, Grove Hill; one son, William E. Willoughby, Grove Hill; two daughters, Sharon W. Lankford, Grove Hill, Tonya W. Horton, Jackson; one sister, Clara Morgan, Whatley; three grandchildren, LaSha Harrell Nelson, Will Harrell, Cassity Corwren Horton and four children of William E. Willoughby and the late Faye W. Aspinall; three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Faye W. Aspinall.
The service was June 15 at 11 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home Chapel in Jackson with Revs. Lon Baxter and Bennie Harrison officiating. Burial with military honors was in the Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were LaSha Harrell Nelson, Corwren Horton, Mike Coleman, Will Harrell, Bradon Nelson and Christopher Dunam.
