Wade Wardrict Tucker, 55, of Jackson died July 13, 2011 at Jackson Medical Center.
He was born Feb. 4, 1956 to the parentage of Dorothy Tucker and the late Ambrose Tucker Sr. He was a member of the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church in Jackson. He served in the Male Chorus until his health failed. He was a veteran of the United States Armed Forces. He was a member of the Jackson High School Class of 1973. He also attended Alabama Southern Community College (formerly Hobson State Technical College). His hobbies included drag racing and other sports. He was formerly married to Brenda Nicholson Tucker.
Survivors include four sons, Darrell Dozier, Los Angeles, Calif., Dewayne Dozier, Chicago, Ill., Sean Bracy, Mobile, Dexter Tucker, Needham; two daughters, Angie Nicholson, Amelia Tucker, both of Needham; loving and devoted mother, Dorothy Tucker; devoted brother and sister, Ambrose (Ruby) Tucker Jr., Beverly Baldwin, respectively, all of Jackson; 11 grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Bobby Tucker and Vincent Tucker.
Funeral services will be at noon on Saturday, July 23, at the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Evergreen Road. Viewing will be from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour with the Rev. Terrence Fleeton as eulogist. Burial will be in the Mt. Sinai Baptist Church Cemetery. Jackson Memorial Funeral Home will direct.
