Judge Tom W. Turner, 84, of Sunflower died July 7, 2011 at Springhill Memorial Hospital.
He was born May 3, 1927. He was a member of Sunflower United Methodist Church. He was a veteran of the United States Army during World War II. He was a supervisor with Vanity Fair and an oilman. He served as probate judge of Washington County for three terms.
Survivors include his wife, Hattie P. Turner, Sunflower; three sons, Tom W. (Heidi) Turner Jr., Leroy, David P. Turner II, David A. Turner, both of Sunflower; one daughter, Patricia G. Turner (George) King, Sunflower; one grandson, Samuel Matthew (Sarah) Turner II, Daphne.
The service was July 10 at 10 a.m. at Sunflower United Methodist Church with Revs. Jimmy Butts and Bob Fischer officiating. Burial was in the Turner Family Cemetery in Sunflower.
