Betty Jean Furrow, 71, of Thomasville, and a former resident of Millbrook, died July 13, 2011 in a Mobile hospital with her family by her side. She was retired from Sylvest.
Survivors include three sons, Charles Bartley (Donna) Furrow, Keith Alan (Teresa) Furrow, Kevin Paul (Gail) Furrow, all of Thomasville; eight grandchildren: Jason (Heather) Furrow, Matthew Furrow, Cub McAleer, Maegen McAleer, Jennifer (Shane) Castleberry, Tiffany Lockhart, Clay Furrow (Alison Blankenship), Hunter Furrow; four great-grandchildren, Brayton Furrow, Madisen Furrow, Zack and Russel Castleberry.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Paul Warner Furrow in 2006.
A graveside service was July 16 at 11 a.m. at the Greenwood Cemetery with Revs. Nick Gaines and Hughie Denton officiating.
Grandsons were the pallbearers.
Honorary pallbearers were Travis Lynn, Josh Browder and Mallan Sheffield.
