John Sharp Martin Jr., 79, of Gulf Shores died July 28, 2011 in Gulf Shores.
He was born May 12, 1932. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force having served during the Korean Conflict. He retired as owner of Dairy Freeze, Martin’s Drive-In and the Way Side Inn.
Survivors include three sons, Lukie Martin, Danny Martin, both of Gulf Shores, Ralph Martin, Citronelle; three daughters, Rosamond Bozeman, Savannah, Georgia, Johnene Lawrence, Baton Rouge, La., Jeanea Green, Irvington; one sister, Rosamond Boykin, Mobile; 14 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren.
The service was Aug. 3 at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Bill Bozeman officiating. Burial was in the Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson.
Active pallbearers were Martin Baggett, Mason Baggett, Harvey Martin, Davey Martin, Shane Bozeman and Daniel Martin.
Honorary pallbearers were Wesley Bozeman, Haigan Baggett, Paul Bozeman, Mike Lawrence Jr., John Michael Coulter, Stefan Martin and Krystal Martin.
