Geneva Courtney Ott, 73, of Thomasville died Aug. 14, 2011 at Country Oaks Assisted Living Facility #2.

She was born June 18, 1938 in Lower Peach Tree. She was a member of the Mt. Vernon Baptist Church. She was a retired office manager with Clarke-Mobile Gas Company.

Survivors include one daughter, Debra Ott Wood, Thomasville; one brother, Bill Courtney, Bessemer; two sisters, Ruby Fendley, Fulton, Marie Swindle, Selma; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Willie Clyde Courtney and a sister, Bonnie Pearl Morgan.

The service was Aug. 16 at 10 a.m. at O'Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Revs. Hal Taylor and Don Newton officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville.

Active pallbearers were Chad Ott, Clay Baugh, Michael Edmonds, Lamar Morgan, James Edmonds, Scott Lewis, Ryan Ott and Michael Pugh.

Honorary pallbearers were the Deacons of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church.
