Brandarius “Dodie Man” Hill, 19, died Sept. 18, 2011 in Waynesboro, Miss.
He was born Jan. 10, 1992. He was a 2010 graduate of Southern Choctaw High School, where he was active in football and basketball. He was affectionately known by family and friends as “Man”, “Dodie Man” and “Wotie”. He was a member of the Pleasant Chapel Baptist Church in Silas.
Survivors include loving parents, Markethia and Rev. Clayton Davis Jr., Scott (Dean) Causey; brother, Jamarcus Hill; two sisters, Markeria Davis, Lakedra Davis; grandmother and second mother, Mary Hill; grandfathers, Henry Lee Hill, Monroe (Juanita) Causey; greatgrandmother, Virgie Hill; uncles, Dwight Hill, Eddie Philon, Monroe (Brenda) Causey, Sheldon Causey, Greg (Melissa) Causey, Sherrod Causey; aunts, Yolonda Hill, Sharon Hill, Patricia (Marvin) Causey, Patsy McGrew, Kanitra (Marcus) Gilmore; special cousins, Jashima Hill, Shakendra Craig, Alexis Hill, Dwight Hill Jr.; godparents, Shenetta and Henry Mitchell; very special friend, Asia Bennett; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Rose Ann Causey; maternal greatgrandparents, Charlie Hill and Flora and George Mitchell; and paternal greatgrandparents, Nara and Elias Causey.
The service was Sept. 24 at Pleasant Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Gregory Sanders, pastor, and Bishop George Mitchell officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Tim Ellis, Rex Philon, Demorrius Hill, Dionell Mitchell, Lorenzo Scruggs and Kendarius Causey.
Honorary pallbearers included Erain Hicks, Cameron Kirksey, Marlon McMillian, Tim Powe, Grady Cunningham, Jessie McGrew and La- Vance Kirksey.
