Mary S. Kotrola, 72, of Thomasville for over 30 years died Oct. 16, 2011 at a Mobile hospital.
She was born April 28, 1939. She was a native of Takoma Park, MD. She was a member of St. Joseph/Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Thomasville/Grove Hill. She was a volunteer for the American Red Cross Blood Drives and Hospice in Thomasville. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her husband, Al Kotrola, Thomasville; two sons, John S. (Nahed) Kotrola, Williamsburg, Virginia, Joseph A. Kotrola, Mobile; two daughters, Lauren M. Kotrola, Thomasville, Jennifer K. (Shawn) James, Fulton; three grandchildren, Hana N. Kotrola, Sean S. Kotrola, Cameron L. James.
She is preceded in death by one brother, Gilbert S. Stearns, Dickinson, MD and numerous nephews and nieces.
The Mass of Resurrection will be celebrated at Scared Heart Catholic Church in Grove Hill on Tuesday, Oct. 27 at 2 p.m. The Mass will be conducted by the pastor, Rev. Wayne M. Youngman, and former pastor, Rev. Patrick J. Madden. The cremains will be inurned at Arnlington National Cemetery at a later date.
