Willie Thomas “Jack” Jordan, 84, of Sweet Water died Oct. 19, 2011 at his residence.
He was born July 18, 1927 in Exmore. He was a member of the Hoboken Baptist Church in Sweet Water. He was a retired diesel mechanic from Scotch Lumber Company.
Survivors include his wife, Anna Evelyn Jordan, Sweet Water; two sons, Dale (Deniece) Jordan, Tallahatta Springs, Darrell Jordan, Sweet Water; three daughters, Gayle Jordan, Teresa Smith, both of Sweet Water, Glenda (Bobby) Hill, Sweet Water; two brothers, Pete Jordan, Wagarville, Alex Jordan, Citronelle; one sister, Lois Dews, Sweet Water; seven grandchildren, Robin Newton, Allison Jordan, Rodney Jordan, Phillip Jordan, Wayne Hill, Ashley Baugh, Kayla Smith; six greatgrandchildren.
The service was Oct. 21 at 2 p.m. at Hoboken Baptist Church with Rev. Leon Parnell officiating. Burial was in the Hoboken Baptist Church Cemetery in Sweet Water.
Active pallbearers were Daniel Baugh, Amos Snodgrass, Stewart Lynch, Wayne Hill, Phillip Jordan and Rodney Jordan.
Honorary pallbearers were Larry Jordan, Ray Smith, Freddie Walker, Ernest Jordan, Norman Dews, David Gibbs and Winfred Trailer.
