Fletcher Britton Overstreet Jr., 68, died Nov. 4, 2011 at his residence.
He was born July 29, 1943. He was a native and resident of Alma. He was a member of Jones Chapel Congregational Methodist Church. He was a project manager with Brown and Root Construction retiring after 36 years.
Survivors include his wife, Lillian “Nicki” Denoux Overstreet; three sons, Derek B. (Kim) Overstreet, J. Kirby (Kristi) Overstreet Sr., Ryan (Erin) Falterman; two daughters, Lisa McKinnon, Tonya Johnson; two brothers, Thomas ( Janet) Overstreet, Louis (Peggy) Overstreet; four sisters, Audrey ( Joe) Palmer; Martha ( James) Jackson; Geraldine (Sam) Dumas; Wilda ( James) Gilchrist; one sister in-law, Betty M. Overstreet; in-laws, Petsie Boudreaux, Irma (Ned) Dufour, Sonny (Peggy) Denoux; nine grandchildren, Michael (Racquel) McKinnon, Cody Overstreet, Abby Overstreet, Chase Falterman, Grace Overstreet, Emileigh Falterman, Joseph Overstreet Jr., Zane Falterman, Lauren Johnson; one great-grandchild, Matthew McKinnon.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lula Inez (Marshall) and Fletcher Britton Overstreet Sr., one brother, Lonnie Clyde Overstreet; two sisters, Vivian Inez Overstreet, Lula Marilyn Woodyard.
The service was Nov. 7 at 12:30 p.m. at Jones Chapel Congregational Methodist Church with Rev. Jess Lohrstorfer officiating. Burial was in the Jones Chapel Congregational Methodist Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Derek Overstreet, Kirby Overstreet, Ryan Falterman, Chase Falterman, Thomas Overstreet, Louie Overstreet, Gerald Overstreet and Tommie Windham.
Honorary pallbearers were his grandchildren.
