Coma Ned Haskew, 76, died Nov. 15, 2011 in Maurepas, Louisiana after a valiant fight against cancer.
He was born February 5, 1935 in Pleasant Hill, Alabama to Albert Coma and Olive Bertha Davis Haskew. He was one of seven siblings. He was a retired U.S. Army staff sergeant and veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was an avid hunter, fisherman and Alabama Crimson Tide football fan.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Elinor S. Haskew; two sons Barry (Shelia) Wayne Haskew, Niceville, Florida; Edward Glenn (Katherine Meades) Haskew, Maurepas, Louisiana; daughter Michelle H. (Tony) Hodge, Maurepas, Louisiana. He was dearly loved by seven grandchildren, nine greatgrandchildren, nephew Lewis (Shorty) Overton Jr., niece Cathi Leona Gunter both of Alabama; and one special little Woowoo.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a baby daughter, Debra Joyce.
The service was Nov. 17 at 4 p.m. at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home Chapel.
