James Reginald Drinkard, 78, of Fulton died Sunday, Nov. 20, 2011 at Cogburn Nursing Center in Mobile.
He was born Oct. 5, 1933 in Grove Hill. He was a United States Army veteran. He was a retired heavy equipment operator.
Survivors include his wife, Imogene Drinkard, Fulton; one son, Kenneth Drinkard, Fulton; two brothers, Robert E. (Sandra) James, Dothan, Donald Joe (Sharon) James, Fulton; five sisters, Mary (Bennie) Pugh, Jackson, Patsy (Eddie) Fisher, Pensacola, Fla., Emma (Billy) Criswell, Fulton, Mildred (Warren) Shewmake, Greenwood, Judy (Jim) Thompson, Vineland; one grandchild, Braylan Drinkard.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lura James, a sister, Edna Earl James and a grandchild, Brendan Drinkard.
A graveside service was Nov. 22 at 11 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville with Rev. Warren Shewmake officiating.
Active pallbearers were Lynn Criswell, Johnny Criswell, Shawn James, Bruce Andrews, Ricky James and Curtis James.
Alternate pallbearer was Jimmy Thompson.
