He was born July 19, 1982 in Grove Hill to Anita Lynum and Vince Hills. He began his education in the Clarke County School System in Clarke County and completed his secondary education in the North Babylon school system, after the family migration to New York in 1986.
Yodie was employed by the Village of Babylon until his demise. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing basketball with his friends and listening to music. He spent many hours tucked away in his room with his headphones. Yodie was also a skilled barber. He took great pride in cutting the hair of his friends.
He left his grandmother, Louella Lynum, to share in his memory, but God called her home shortly after his demise. Now they rest together.
He leaves to cherish his memory his parents; Anita and Henry Turner of North Babylon, NY; his biological father, Vince Hills of Georgia; two brothers, Dimitris Lynum, North Babylon, NY, and Kamin Hills of Georgia; one sister, Matia Hills of Georgia; five aunts, Patricia Thomas of Mobile; Jeanette (Dennis) Horn of Whatley; Edith & LaKisha Lynum, both of Suggsville; Carolyn Jones, Amityville, NY; three uncles, George Lynum, Riverdale, GA; Benjamin and Jarvis Lynum, both of Suggsville; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
