Thomas Leon McIntyre, 86, of Leroy died Dec. 19, 2011 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 23, 1925. He was a native of Winn. He was a member of the Pine Grove United Methodist Church. He was a member and Past Post Commander of the VFW Post in Jackson. He was a veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II. He was owneroperator of the Quality Cleaners in Jackson.

Survivors include his wife, Rosalie Batley McIntyre, Leroy; six sons, Craig (Linda) McIntyre, Spanish Fort, Charles (Norma) McIntyre, St. Stephens, Jerry (Gayle) McIntyre, Dardanelle, Arkansas, Don (Debbie) McIntyre, Leroy, Michael (Brenda) McIntyre, Dale (Amy) McIntyre, all of Jackson; one brother, Ray (Patricia) McIntyre, Waveland, Miss.; 12 grandchildren; 18 great- grandchildren.

The service was Dec. 22 at 11 a.m. at Pine Grove United Methodist Church in Leroy with Revs. Donald Phillips and Jimmy Butts officiating. Burial was in the Pine Grove United Methodist Cemetery in Leroy with military graveside honors.

Active pallbearers were Craig McIntyre, Charles McIntyre, Jerry McIntyre, Don McIntyre, Michael McIntyre and Dale McIntyre.

Honorary pallbearers were Carl McIntyre, Fred Monteabaro, Ray Beech, Clyde Walker, Bill Walker, Fred Walker, Wilbur Jones and Dooley Jones.
