Jim “Buster” Pugh, 79, died Jan. 1, 2012 in Birmingham.
He was born Jan. 18, 1932. He graduated from Clarke County High School and graduated from Auburn University in 1955. He was a United States Army Veteran. He was a member of the Vestavia Hills United Methodist Church. He was retired from Sonat.
Survivors include two sons, Marlin Pugh, Brian Pugh; a daughter, Cindy Hudson ( Tom) Vanthournout; a brother, Don (Kitty) Pugh; four grandchildren, Chris Moore, Stacey McMahan, Hannah and Abigail Hudson, a great-grandchild, Robbie Moore and three stepgrandchildren, Tom Vanthournout, Tim Vanthournout and Lizzy Vanthournout.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Amanda Moore McMahan.
The family will receive friends Thursday, Jan. 5 from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service at the Currie- Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Jefferson Memorial Gardens, South.
