Rev. Green Harrell, 85, of Andalusia died Jan. 8, 2012 in the Andalusia hospital.

He was born Sept. 24, 1926. He served in the United States Army and wåas a Forest Ranger of Mobile County for the State of Alabama Department of Forestry. He served faithfully for 48 years as a Baptist minister in churches in Alabama and Northwest Florida. His family is grateful for the legacy he leaves of faith, love and family.

Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Louise Johnson Harrell, Andalusia; two sons, Warren (Merita) Harrell, Thomasville, Alfred Harrell, Telogia, Fla.; two daughters, Dorothy Conner, Saraland, Virginia Garrick, Thomasville; one sister, Emma Wilson, Andalusia; eight grandchildren, David (Lori) Conner, Miranda (Bo) Wilkinson, Rachel (Stephen) Powell, Candis (Bucky) Busby, Will Harrell, Aaron (Stephanie) Harrell, Sam Harrell, Jesse Harrell; five great-grandchildren, Emily Wilkinson, Ally Busby, Lillie Conner, Gracie Powell, Ty Busby, Benjamin Conner, Brooke Wilkinson, John Allen Powell and William Conner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Green Warren Harrell Sr., and Martha Ida Boyett Harrell, his brothers, William Elie Harrell, Alford ( Ted) Harrell, Walter Harrell, Rufus (Boy) Harrell, his sisters, Eva Henderson, Elma Sasser.

The service was Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. at Keahey Funeral Home in Andalusia with Revs. Wayne Sharpe and Johnny Moore officiating. Burial was in the Enon Baptist Church Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were David Conner, Will Harrell, Aaron Harrell, Sam Harrell, Jesse Harrell, Bo Wilkinson, Stephen Powell and Bucky Busby.

Honorary pallbearers were Don Harrell, John Harrell, Robert Harrell, Larry Harrell, Jerry Harrell, Gerald Norris, Chester Ray Norris, Johnny Norris, Vernon Norris, Donnie Johnson.
