Leona Pugh, 75, of Jackson died Jan. 8, 2012 at her residence.
She was born Sept. 9, 1936 in Knox City, Texas. She was a homemaker.
Survivors include one son, Douglas P. (JoAnna) Pugh, Thomasville; two daughters, Suzanne (Scott) McCullar, Carbon Hill, Sandra (Kenny) Counselman, Jackson; six grandchildren, Hayden Pugh, Amanda Pugh, both of Thomasville, MacKenzie McCullar, Zakary McCullar, Nikolas McCullar, all of Carbon Hill, Philip (Lisa) Counselman, Mobile; one great-grandchild, Sarah Counselman, Mobile; two nephews, Stan DeWitt, Joseph Newton; two nieces, Jennifer Crocker, Kathryn Crocker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, A.B. Pugh.
A graveside service was Jan. 10 at 2 p.m. at the Bashan Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Scott McCullar and Dr. Danny Ellis officiating.
Active pallbearers were Hayden Pugh, Philip Counselman, Stan DeWitt, Joseph Newton, Johnny Counselman and Neil Bush Jr.
