Edgar Duke "Jack" Bennett Jr., 75, of Fulton died Jan. 25, 2012 at his residence.
He was born Feb. 9, 1936 in Sweet Water. He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church. He was a former shop foreman.
Survivors include his wife, Nettie P. Bennett, Fulton; two nephews, Mike Bennett, Eddie Bennett; a host of great-nephews and nieces and a great-great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edgar Duke Bennett and Azalea Beverly Bennett, a brother, Bobby Earl Bennett, an infant sister and a nephew, Neal Bennett.
The service was Jan. 28 at 11 a.m. at Liberty Baptist Church with Revs. Bill Faircloth, Larry Darden and Grey Snodgrass officiating. Burial was in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville.
Active pallbearers were Charlie Hamilton, Dan Sheffield, Keith Bennett, Mark Bennett, Josh Robinson, John Gates and Cory Gates.
Honorary pallbearers were Jack McHaney, Willard Gates and Don Jordan.
