Will Gillis Milstead, 85, of Jackson died April 5, 2012 at his residence.
He was born Jan. 18, 1928. He was a native of Coffeeville. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jackson. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the United States Army. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), was a Mason and a member of the Santa Fe Lodge #226. He was retried from Boise Paper Mill.
Survivors include his wife, Vera Pauline Beverly Milstead, Jackson; two sons, Richard and Charolene Milstead, Jackson, David and Leigh Milstead, Leroy; one sister, Belle York, Mobile; four grandchildren, Mark Milstead, Lindsey Lear, John Milstead and Chelsea Larrimore.
The service was April 6 at 10:30 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with Rev. Jimmy Butts and Dr. Tim Huie officiating. Burial was in the Trinity Memorial Gardens in Jackson.
Active pallbearers were Andy Tarver, Kenny Harrell, Roger Dunagan, Mike Tarleton, Terry Sears and Kenny Roeman.
