Janie Marie Phillips, 86, of Thomasville died April 17, 2012 at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center.
She was born April 15, 1926 in Marengo County. She was a member of the Thomasville Baptist Church. She was a former machine operator.
Survivors include three sons, J.B. (Betty) Phillips Jr., Thomaston, Joe (Christine) Phillips, Morvin, H.G. (Shirley) Phillips, Dickinson; one daughter, Jane (Herbert) Newton, Bashi; two sisters, Maggie Smith, Nell Smith, both of Thomasville; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
The service was April 20 at 11 a.m. at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Dr. James Best and Rev. Ty Parten officiating. Burial was in the Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville.
Active pallbearers were Aaron Day, Woodie Newton, Chuck Newton, Greg Phillips, Grant Newton and Andrew Newton.
