Lenore Maness Irons, 79, of Thomasville died May 9, 2012 at Thomasville Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.
She was born May 15, 1932 in Dixons Mills. He was a member of the Thomasville United Methodist Church. She also attended the Lower Peach Tree United Methodist Church. She was a former nurse and florist.
Survivors include her husband, Richard A. "Dick" Irons, Thomasville; one sister-in-law, Josephine D. Maness, Hattiesburg, Miss.; two nieces, Lisa (Steve) Summitt, Florence, Ronda (Jeff) Vanderheiden, Hattiesburg, Miss.
The service was May 11 at 11 a.m. at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Paul McVay officiating. Burial was in the Choctaw Corner Cemetery in Thomasville.
Active pallbearers were John Collins, Jeff Vanderheiden, Steve Summitt, Cedrick Adams, Linzey Coston, Wesley Dozier and Nollie Loper.
Honorary pallbearer was Billy Hicks.
Memorials may be sent to the Thomasville United Methodist Church, the Lower Peach Tree United Methodist Church or the United Methodist Church Children’s Home.
