David Lesher Pierson, 80, of Hobson died May 21, 2012 at Mobile Infirmary.

He was born April 25, 1932. He was a member of Pine Level Baptist Church of Hobson, the American Legion, N.R.A. and AMG International Ministries. He retired from the U.S. Air Force as a Tech Sgt. having served for 20 years and retired from MWS Land Company after 18 years of employment.

Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Annie J. Pierson, Hobson; one son, Martin (Debbie) Pierson, Hobson; one daughter, Karen ( John) Clanton, Coffeeville; five grandchildren, Selina Bumpers, Saraland, Scherri (Walt) Nader, Hobson, Jared Strong, Tuscaloosa, Whitney Strong, Mobile, Wesley Strong, Coffeeville; six greatgrandchildren, Trey Nader, Sidney Nader, Andre Bumpers, Walker Bumpers, Hannah Bumpers and Salena Strong.

The service was May 23 at 3 p.m. at Pine Level Baptist Church in Hobson with Rev. Ron Butler officiating. Burial was in the Jones-Beech Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Carl Thompson, Nelson Thompson, Walt Nader, Gerald Everett, Donald Jones and Clint Odom.
