Nonie Grey Williams, 83, of Jackson died May 26, 2012 at her residence.
She was born Jan. 23, 1929. She was a native of Carson. She attended Leroy Baptist Church. She was a member of Forest Avenue Baptist Church. She retired as a nurse’s aide with Jackson Health Care Facility and as a private sitter. She was a very devoted and loving mother and grandmother.
Survivors include four sons, Miles E. (Patricia) Williams Jr., Ronnie D. Williams, all of Jackson, Stephen L. (Michelle) Williams, St. Stephens, Kenneth G. (Nancy) Williams, Deatsville; one daughter, Kitty L. (Bobby) Blackledge, St. Stephens; three brothers, L.A. Walker Jr., George Walker, Fred Walker, all of Leroy; two sisters, Jean Bonneau, Jackson, Kitty White, Saraland; 12 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Riller M. Walker, two brothers, A.M. Walker and Roy Walker; two sisters, Dorothy Dearman and Katie Everheart.
Visitation will be Tuesday, May 29 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. The service will be Wednesday, May 30 at 10 a.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson. Burial will be in the Old Leroy Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ray Rotch Jr., Greg Rotch, Lamar White, Larry Walker, Bill Walker and Harold Everheart.
