Frank Morrison Sr., 96, of Eufaula died May 21, 2012 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan.
He was born Aug. 27, 1915 in Texasville, Ala. to the late Riley and Carrie Morrison. He was the grandson of “Billy” and Emma Morrison. He dedicated his life to serving others and spreading the “good news” of Jesus through 42 years as pastor of Baptist Churches and approximately 25 years as chaplain of Crown Health and Medical Center Barbour in Eufaula. His final days were spent surrounded by family and friends whom Brother Morrison had touched with his loving smile in some way through his 67 years of the ministry.
Survivors include his son, Frank Morrison Jr., daughter in-law Kim, three grandchildren, Aaron, Anna, Lydia, children’s mother, Cathy, son-in-law, Elias and two great-grandchildren, Mallory and Samuel. Also surviving are his brother, Ed Morrison, sisters Mamie Cook, Flora Miller and Myrtle Jean Hudson. Brother Morrison also has a host of nieces and nephews and their children.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Susia Q. Morrison and a sister, Daisy Glover.
The service was May 25 at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Eufaula with Dr. Ken Bush officiating. Burial was in the Louisville Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
