Frank A. “Peter” Gregory Jr., 81, died June 15, 2012 at his Grove Hill home. He was born Sept. 6, 1930.
He was a retired “train man” for Southern Railroad, now Norfolk Southern. Mr. Gregory was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Horeb Baptist Church in Whatley.
Survivors are two sons, Michael Gregory of Grove Hill and Bryan Gregory of Helwestern; and two grandchildren. Gladys Gregory, his wife of 54 years, preceded him in death, as did sisters, Kathleen G. Hicks and Lorean G. Presnall.
A graveside service, under the direction of Lathan Funeral Home of Grove Hill, was conducted June 16 at the Whatley Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Aaron Gregory, Avery Gregory, Joe Milstead, Wayne Garrick, Jason Garrick, Billy Mc- Conell, William McConnell and Neal McConnell.
Honorary pallbearers included Roland Duke, R.E. Garrick, Royce Lindsey, David Lindsey, Dale Dumas, Dean Dumas, Keith Hudson and the members of the Horeb Church.
