Zannie Robinson, 80, died June 27, 2012 in the Monroe Manor Nursing Home. He was born Dec. 30, 1931 in Clarke County to Miles Robinson Sr. and Louisanna Johnson Robinson. He was a unique person filled with love for others. His heart was bigger than many could ever know. For those who were blessed to know and love him, lives have been changed in losing him. He loved working in the yard and had a generous spirit. He accepted Christ as his personal Savior and united with Little Rock Baptist Church. He unselfishly served in whatever capacity, whether asked or not, he could. He would often carry baskets of fruit to area ministers as a token of his love for others. He battled and ultimately succumbed to his illness. Survivors include two loving children, Robert Anderson, Rosa (Charles) Covington, both of Mobile; two brothers, Archie (late Lula) Robinson, Miles (Mizella) Robinson Jr., both of Whatley; two sisters, one loving and devoted, Autherine (Oscar) Wilmington, Revanna, Ohio, Catherine Robinson, Mobile; seven loving grandchildren, Kinta Anderson, Chasity Covington, Britney Covington, Robert Thomas, Isiah Thomas, Teja Lewis and Angel James; a host of devoted nephews, nieces, cousins, other loving family and friends, including a devoted friend of Sally Anderson. The service was June 30 at 3 p.m. at Little Rock Baptist Church with Rev. Tommie Chapman, pastor, officiating. Burial was in the Little Rock Baptist Church Cemetery. Banks Memorial Funeral Home of Monroeville directed. Active pallbearers were son, nephews and grandsons. Flower bearers were family and friends.
