Claudie Burl Hudson, 80, of Thomasville died June 28, 2012 at Mobile Infirmary.
He was born Sept. 9, 1931 in Greenwood. He was a member of the Bassetts Creek Baptist Church. He was a member of the Oliver Lodge #334 F & AM. He was a United States veteran having served in the Vietnam War. He was a former warehouse foreman of Thomasville.
Survivors include his wife, Linda Hudson, Thomasville; one son, Richard (Cindy) Hudson, Thomasville; one daughter, Dixie (Scott) Bishop, Opelika; one brother, Coma L. Hudson, Lawndale, N.C.; one sister, Joann Kelley, Thomasville; two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Travis Madison Hudson and Mary Coleman Hudson, one daughter, Debrough Jean Hudson; one brother, Travis Rhett Hudson, and two sisters, Ruth Thomas, Murl Allen.
The service was July 1 at 2 p.m. at Bassetts Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Chris Kynard officiating. Burial with full military honors was in the Bassetts Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Grove Hill.
Active pallbearers were Tony Barnes, Jeff Powell, Chuck Wilkerson, Sam Oliver, Roy Carlisle and Kirk Hill.
