William (Bill) Larry Ingram, 64, of Thomasville died June 26, 2012 at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery.
He was born Aug. 12, 1947 in Butler. He was a member of the Thomasville Baptist Church. He assisted in coaching the Thomasville High School Tiger Baseball and the Thomasville Travelers teams. He was a retired maintenance supervisor at Thomasville Mental Health and Rehabilitation Center. “Chief” as he was affectionately known was an avid baseball fan.
Survivors include his wife, Rachel B. Ingram, Thomasville; one son, Lance (Cherish) Ingram, Thomasville; one daughter, Tara (Greg) Hulsey, Vestavia; one sister, Patsy Dixon, Thomasville; four grandchildren, Ainsley Hulsey, Haley Hulsey, both of Vestavia, Landen Ingram, Brayden Ingram, both of Thomasville.
The service was June 30 at 10 a.m. at Thomasville Baptist Church with Rev. Ty Parten and Dr. Gary A. Enfinger officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville.
Active pallbearers were Charlie Anderson, Wayne Nettles, Jimmy Nettles, Joe Nettles, Melvin Middleton, Steve Stacey, Johnny Dickerson and Speck McCants.
Honorary pallbearers were all the ball players “Chief” had ever coached.
Memorials may be made to the Thomasville Baptist Church Hand N Hand Building Fund, Thomasville Baptist Children’s Ministry or The Alabama Baptist Children’s Home.
