Cora Ann Coleman, 77, of Grove Hill died July 2, 2012 at her residence.
She was born Dec. 2, 1934. She was a native of Laska in Marengo County and resident of Grove Hill for 72 years. She was a retired teacher with the Clarke County Board of Education where she taught at the Coffeeville School for 12 years and Grove Hill Academy for seven years after which she became a dietitian at Grove Hill Memorial Hospital where she retired after 15 years. She was a member of the Southern Magnolia Woman’s Club and Grove Hill Baptist Church where she loved her Sunday School Class.
Survivors include one daughter, Debbie (Terry) Stifflemire, Grove Hill; three grandchildren, Crystal (Ryan) Holtzapsel, Alabaster, Coleman (Kayla) Stifflemire, Anna Stifflemire, all of Grove Hill; two great-grandchildren, Madison and Whitney Holtzapsel; nephews and nieces; sisters-in-law, Patricia Loftin, Camden, Dorothy Hogan, Folsom, LA.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Alonzo Fred and Fairest Lee Dunn Loftin; husbands, Fred W. “Buddy” Coleman, Edgar L. Foster, brother, Ted Loftin and a brother-in-law, Mark E. Hogan.
The service was July 5 at 10:30 a.m. at Grove Hill Baptist Church with Revs. Randy Boone, J.W. Reeves and Johnny Kendrick officiating. Burial was in the Grove Hill Cemetery.
