Jim Alton Wiggins, 75, of Grove Hill, died July 22, 2012 at his residence.
He was born Oct. 12, 1936. He was a native of Coffeeville. He was a charter member of Tompkins Baptist Church. He was a retired commercial startup and troubleshooter on refrigeration units with Frick.
Survivors include one son, Jeffrey Wiggins, Dallas, Texas; two daughters, Cindy (Jeff) Geery, Peoria, Ariz., Jill (Phillip) Smith, Charlotte, N.C.; one sister, French (Norman) Downey, Grove Hill; 10 grandchildren; one greatgrandchild.
The service was July 25 at 11 a.m. at Tompkins Baptist Church with Dr. Johnny Kendrick officiating and a personal message by Ken Buck. Burial was in the Magnolia Lawn Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tompkins Baptist Church Building Fund or to the Grove Hill Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.
Active pallbearers were Don Wright, Dixon Greer, Gray Milstead, Melton DuBose, Ray Sheffield and Billy Wiggins.
Honorary pallbearers were Ken Buck, Don Squires, David Downey, Ward Edge, Jimmy Dowling, Jerry Clark, Chester Roberts and Ray Barnes.
