Audra Jean Beech, 82, of Chatom died Aug. 2, 2012 in Washington County Infirmary.
She was born July 2, 1930. She was a devoted member of the Pine Level Baptist Church who loved to cook and share her food, especially her potato salad. She was retired as a seamstress from Vanity Fair.
Survivors include her son, Lamar (Jan) Beech, Chatom; two brothers, Aubra Baxter, Chatom, Levon (Pat) Baxter, St. Elmore; one sister, Marcile (Aubrey) Grant, Robertsdale; one grandchild, Ryan (Katherine) Beech, one great-grandchild, Ryan Elizabeth Beech.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie “Bill” Beech.
The service was Aug. 4 at 2 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Chatom with Bro. Ron Butler officiating. Burial was in the Jones Beech Cemetery.
Active pallbearers were Gordon Sloat, Mark Beech, Roger Beech, Chris Beech, Coy Baxter and Doug Baxter.
Honorary pallbearers were Steven Grant, Aubrey Earl Grant Jr. and Eric Beech.
