Mary Sue Whatley Clark, 68, of Grove Hill died Aug. 20, 2012 at her home following a battle with cancer.
She was born Aug. 3, 1944. She was a native of Whatley. She was a faithful member of Tompkins Baptist Church. She worked at Vanity Fair, MacMillan-Bloedel and retired from Weyerhaeuser.
She was a beloved wife and mother and is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jerry L. Clark, Grove Hill; a daughter, Angelia M. (Buddy) Jordan, Grove Hill; a brother, George E. (Pam) Whatley; two sisters, Margaret (Rodney) Hubbard, Inwood, WV, Sandra Williams, Whatley; four grandchildren, Adam Jordan, Kimberly Jordan, both of Grove Hill, Heather (Brian) Newton, Jackson, Lindsay Jordan, Mobile; one great-grandchild, Benjamin Newton, Jackson; four nephews, close family friends, Annie Harrison and Lillian Gibson.
The service was Aug. 22 at 10 a.m. at Tompkins Baptist Church with Rev. Johnny Kendrick officiating. Burial was in the Tompkins Baptist Church Cemetery in Grove Hill.
Active pallbearers were Wayne Pettis, Keith Newton, Claude Agee, Roger Hare, Ward Edge and Jack Robinson.
Honorary pallbearers were David Downey, Randy Hare, John Mosley, Jeffrey Keel, Brad Cockerham and Chester Roberts.
