Grady Miller Martin Sr., 81, of Nicholsville died Aug. 14, 2012 at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga.
Grady was born Jan. 14, 1931 in Nanafalia. He resided in Marengo County until he enlisted in the Navy to serve in the Korean War. He left the Navy in 1951. He worked in California in the aircraft industry on the development of the Drone Program (radio controlled aircraft) until he retired and returned to Alabama.
Survivors include one daughter, Rhonda Martin Campbell, Bakersfield, Calif.; step-son, Michael Murro, Longwood, Fla.; one brother, James A. (Dale) Martin, Talladega; seven grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Grady Miller Martin Jr. and a stepdaughter, Margo Weber.
The service was Aug. 18 at 11 a.m. at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Rob Wynne officiating. Burial was in the Hickory Grove Cemetery in Nanafalia.
Active pallbearers were Gerrad Martin, Dominic Drew, Tommy Martin, Roman Herbert, Kevin Folse, and John Manning.
