Edith Outlaw, 91, of Jackson died Aug. 31, 2012 at Jackson Health Care.

She was born July 18, 1921. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Jackson. She graduated from the University of Alabama in 1944 and retired as a dietician at Jackson Hospital. She enjoyed sewing and reading.

Survivors include one brother, Dan (Dottie) Outlaw, Jackson; nephews and nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Bertie Outlaw; two sisters, Gladys Outlaw and Mildred Farish; three brothers, Cornell Outlaw, Mack Outlaw, James “Runt” Outlaw.

The service was Sept. 2 at 3 p.m. at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jim DuFriend officiating. Burial was in the Pine Crest Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Bert Outlaw, Dee Outlaw, Bill Outlaw, Maurie Outlaw, Kit Outlaw and William Pace.

Honorary pallbearer were nephews and nieces.
