Henry Cole Burnett, 87, of Fairhope, formerly of Thomasville died Sept. 25, 2012 at his residence.
He was born Feb. 1, 1925 in Coatopa, AL. He was a member of the Fairhope Baptist Church and former member of Pineview Baptist Church. He was a World War II United States Army Veteran. He was a former paper tester.
Survivors include one son, Rex Burnett, Pascagoula, Miss; one daughter, Annette Burnett Ridgeway, Eight Mile; six grandchildren, Jennifer Strickland, Gulf Shores, Carol Ann Burnett, Pascagoula, Miss., Michael Burnett, Ocean Springs, Miss., Leslie Rideway Forsman, Fairhope, Carrie Ridgeway Dauphin, Demopolis, Amy Rideway Wilson, Eight Mile; 12 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jewel Hall Burnett, a daughter, Jackie Strickland and a grandson, Jerry Harmon Strickland.
The service was Sept. 28 at 11 a.m. at O’Bryant Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Reed officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Memorial Gardens in Thomasville.
Active pallbearers were Dan Burnett, Kerry Burnett, Michael Burnett, Ray Dauphin, Scott Wilson and Jonathan Forsman.
