Johnny Clyde Buckalew, 76, of Thomasville died Oct. 25, 2012 at Thomasville Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center.

He was born April 16, 1936 in Thomasville. He was a former mechanic at MacMillan Bloedel Inc.

Survivors include four sisters, Bobbie Jo (Henry) Loper, Judy (Bob) Hope, all of Thomasville, Annell (Zadock) Mitchell, Grove Hill, Patsy (Lonnie) Guy, Jackson; one aunt, Evelyn H. Crocker, Mobile; two cousins, Jimmie (Shirley) Stephens, Suzanne (Ronnie) Smith, all of Thomasville; a host of other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Claude and Nellie Mae Hamilton Buckalew; one brother, Claude Buckalew Jr., one sister, Dinah Hamilton and uncle and aunt, Nathan and Ruby Clyde Stephens.
