Clayton Dickinson, 60, died Nov. 17, 2012.
He was born Jan. 15, 1952 to the late Ethel Mae and Jimmie Dickinson Sr. He joined the Orange Hill Missionary Baptist Church at an early age. After graduating from Clarke County High School, Class of 1971 he moved to Detroit, Michigan where he resided until his death. He was employed with Ford Motor Company.
Survivors include a loving daughter, Sabrina Dickinson, Atlanta, Georgia; a devoted sister, Lula Delores (Lorenza) Hayes, devoted brother, Percy Dickinson, Detroit, Michigan, Melvin Dickinson and Worthy Bowen of Grove Hill; good friend, Gracie Horn, Detroit, Michigan; and two loving aunts, Dorothy (Curtis) Hicks, Mobile, Martis (John Lee) Barnett, Grove Hill; a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ethel and Jimmie Dickinson Sr., brothers, Charles, John, George, Jimmie Jr. and Mary Francis Kufeji.
The service will be Saturday, Nov. 24 at 11 a.m. at Orange Hill Baptist Church of Grove Hill. Viewing will be at 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service with Rev. James Barron, pastor and officiating minister. Burial will be in the Orange Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
