He was born Aug. 15, 1952 to the parentage of the late Roscoe Dickinson and Charmie Kidd Dickinson. He confessed Christ at an early age and united with Orange Hill Baptist Church where he served as a deacon and assisted with the youth department until his health failed. He retired as a bus driver from the Clarke County Board of Education after 32 years of faithful and dutiful employment.
Survivors include two brothers, Shelton Dickinson, Grove Hill, Michael Dickinson, Thomasville; two sisters, Alice Parker, Thomasville, Jennifer Hawkins, Grove Hill; a host of other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Sgt. James Kidd, Kenneth, David and Dwight Dickinson.
Viewing will be Saturday, Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. until the 12 noon service at Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Grove Hill, with Revs. William Jackson and Richard White, officiating. Burial will be in the Orange Hill Cemetery in Grove Hill.
