Peggy Faye Claxton, 69, of Jackson died Dec. 26, 2012 at Providence Hospital.
She was born July 31, 1943. She was a homemaker. She was a member of Peniel Baptist Church in Jackson. She worked as a volunteer for cancer research.
Survivors include her husband, Walter Claxton, Jackson; three sons, Kenneth (Angie) Bishop, Kendell Claxton, all of Jackson, Kevin (Robin) Claxton, Dixons Mills; two daughters, Kim Wade, Kelia (Wayne) Fralick, all of Jackson; three brothers, Wendell Allen, Ronnie Allen, both of Nashville, Tenn., Charles Allen, Erin, Tenn.; one sister, Kay Wyatt, Dover, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; numerous step-grandchildren.
The service was Dec. 29 at 11 a.m. A memorial service was at the chapel at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with Rev. Gary Pickard officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
