James Okey “Junior” Ott Jr., 90, of Thomasville died Jan. 1, 2013 at the VA Hospital in Tuskegee.
He was born March 15, 1922 in Forrest Dale, AL. He was a member of the Midway Baptist Church. He was a World War II United States Army Veteran. He was a former fabric cutter.
Survivors include his wife, Marie Ott, Thomasville; one son, Ladell Ott, Thomasville; one daughter, Patricia Ann Floyd, Opelika; one brother, Vester Ott, Thomasville; two sisters, Syble Ott, Mobile, Ruby Clyde Horton, Grove Hill; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Mitch Floyd.
The service was Jan. 3 at 2 p.m. at Midway Baptist Church with Rev. Rex Jackson officiating. Burial was in the Midway Baptist Church Cemetery in Thomasville.
Active pallbearers were Brad Ott, Kent Ott, Hagen Kaylor, David Floyd Jr., Todd Horton and Sonny Horton.
