Addie Duck Deas, 93, of Salitpa died Jan. 13, 2013 at her residence.
She was born June 3, 1919. She was a member of River Hill Baptist Church. She was owner and operator of Deas Grocery.
Survivors include one son, Samuel Warren (Bonita) Deas Sr., Salitpa; one brother, Melvin Duck, Alexander City; two sisters, (twin) Agnes Washburn Jinwright, Melba McClellan, both of Alexander City; five grandchildren, Addie Kay (Bobby) Page, Samuel Warren (Michele) Deas Jr., Darren Walter (Chandra) Deas, Allison A. Deas and Alesia D. Deas; 10 great-grandchildren; five great-greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel A. Deas and a son, Thomas A. Deas.
The service was Jan. 15 at 12 p.m. at River Hill Baptist Church in Salitpa with Revs. Digger Creel and Wilson Bennett officiating. Burial was in the River Hill Baptist Cemetery in Salitpa.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to River Hill Baptist Cemetery Fund.
Active pallbearers were Samuel Warren Deas Jr., Jonathan Ryan Rodgers, Justin Trujillo, Kayne Graham Deas, Jansen B. Deas, James Michael Page and Jessie Ian Page.
Honorary pallbearers were Jamee R. Houston, Jennifer D. Nichols, Kayden Walter Deas and Kolten Davis Deas.
