Vernon Lee Adams, 56, of McIntosh died Jan. 11, 2013 at Providence Hospital in Mobile.
He was born May 14, 1947. He was the son of the late Amanda and B.R. Adams. He was a Vietnam veteran, an entrepreneur and a member of the St. Union Baptist Church in McIntosh.
Survivors include two sons, Xavier Adams, Long Beach, Calif., Sergio (Andrea) Adams, Norfolk, Va.; three daughters, Jasmin (Terrance) Johnson, Ft. Smith, Ark., Verna Adams, Lemoore, Calif., Mercedes Adams, San Diego, Calif.; 10 siblings, Thelma Maiben, Cincinnati, Ohio, Helen (Willard) Law, Velma (Rudolph) Andry, John L. (JoAnn) Adams, Charles E. (JoAnn) Adams, Morris Dean (Valoris) Adams, Aaron (Sharon) Williams, all of McIntosh, Linda Adams, Valerie Jones, both of Birmingham, Lenette (Marc) Wallace, Algonquin, Ill.; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and dedicated friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Tammy Adams; son, Remington Steel Adams; daughter, Jasmine Dynasty Rose Adams; and brothers, Earl Stanley Adams and Fredrick Adams.
The service was Jan. 19, at St. Union Baptist Church at 1 p.m. with Rev. Al Clyde Sauls, pastor and Min. Aaron Williams was the officiating minister. Military honors were conducted at the graveside. Burial was in the Seals Cemetery in McIntosh,
Jackson Memorial Funeral Home directed.
