Woodie Ray Howell, 82, of Jackson died Jan. 18, 2013 at Jackson Medical Center.

He was born Jan. 20, 1930. He was a member of McCann’s United Methodist Church. He was retired as a storeroom clerk from Ciba Geigy.

Survivors include his wife, Ann McLean Howell, Jackson; two daughters, Pam Howell McDonald, Jackson, Dawn Howell Decker, Sylacauga; two brothers, Jack Howell, Mobile, Franklin Howell, Jackson; one sister, Fay Harper, Jackson; four grandsons, Jared Loper, Tyler Loper, Sam Gibbs and Austin Decker.

The service was Jan. 21 at 2 p.m. at Lathan Funeral Home in Jackson with Revs. Molly Fullford and Earl Watson officiating. Burial was in the Trinity Memorial Gardens.

Active pallbearers were Jared Loper, Tyler Loper, Sam Gibbs, Austin Decker, Michael Howell, Gary Howell, Rickey Howell and Drew Harper.
