Marjorie Louise Vice Odom, 82, of Jackson died Feb. 14, 2013 at Jackson Medical Center.

She as born Aug. 4, 1930. She was a member of Good Springs Baptist Church. She was a retired nurse with Grove Hill Memorial Hospital.

Survivors include five sons, David (Diane White) Odom, Bill (Debra Roberts) Odom, Andy (Janice Uptagrafft) Odom, Fred (Sheri Bradford) Odom, Bret (Shannon Cranford) Odom; three daughters, Bettye (Johnny) Boykin, Marianne (Willie) Motes, Angie (Bud) Powell; one son-in-law, Dover Gurley; one brother, Jerry Vice; 19 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Eli Odom, a daughter, Anita Gurley and four brothers, Marvin Vice, Coleman Vice, Bill Vice and Pat Vice, two sisters, Mildred Vice Johnson, Nell Parker; her parents, Joel Madison and Lula Glass Vice.

The service was Feb. 17 at 3 p.m. at Forest Avenue Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Odom officiating. Burial was in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Forest Avenue Baptist Church.

Active pallbearers were Mike Nelson, Jonathan Gurley, Randall Odom, Andy Odom, Freddie Odom, Garrison Odom, Adam Powell, Austin Motes and Gaines Odom.
